I will be in Newport for the NYYC Regatta 7/23 to 7/25. I'm looking for a boat to sail on. I'm 47, 6'1" 205 lbs. Racing for 30 years. J44, J160, J80, J105, Frers33 T10. I'm a trimmer, mostly main trimmer but I'll do anything. (2004)

I am the Skipper of the J-105 Liquid Courage, USA 51050 (Hull 186) and I am relocating my boat from Lake Michicagan to East Greenwich (near Warrick RI.) in Narragansett Bay. I need a full compliment of Crew; trimmers, pit and fore deck. I have actively raced my boat for six seasons in Chicago. I would like to starting sailing and racing in early June 2004. I plan on racing BIRW, and the J-105 NA's. Depending on crew responses and uptake, I will race more in 2004. My record in Chicago is upper 1/3 with notable finishes: 1st 2003 Mackinaw race (300 miles), 2nd overall 2002 Chicago Noods, 1st overall 2000 Boat of the year. I need crew to learn New England Sailing in 2004, so 2005 will be notable. Please contact me by e-mail.

I have crewed on Haze III with Dick Starita and live in the same town as he does in South Florida. I will be in Newport on vacation the same time as the Marion regatta (Sept. 13,14 2003). If you could get me on board a boat as crew I would appreciate it. I was his pit man and downwind trimmer.

I am a US Sailing Keelboat Instructor, category 1 classification, 6Ft 1" and weigh 210lbs. My goal is to get to 200lbs or slightly below by June 1. Last year I participated in Block Island Race Week and crewed for owner-skipper Bob Hooper on J-105 M-GO BLUE. My position as mast man was responsible for the telescopic sprit and the spinnaker halyard and assisting the bowman and trimmers with the jib and spinnaker sheet trim on jibes and tacks. I am interested in crewing Race Week or other regattas this summer. I can provide interested owners or skippers with a recent sailing resume.

For the last 5 years I have been regularly trimming and doing foredeck on J22s, J105s, J24s, and PHRF boats out of Annapolis. I would love to get back on the water, and do some sailing out of Newport area.

TL: This past weekend was my first race on a J-105 at the Sail Newport One-Design regatta on John Eielson's Nordic Express. I grew up sailing primarily dinghies (420s, FJs, Snipes, Laser/II, Vanguard 15s, etc) and some J-24s as well... but would love to fill in if anyone needs some crew on another 105 sometime. Best way to reach me is either at the above email address or cell phone number. (June 2001)
