Fast Track Yacht Management is pleased to announce that the Watson Island Marina
will be used to stage boats for the 2002 SORC. Watson Island Marina is located
on the Main-Land end of the Macarthur Causeway, placing the boats and the launching
site within a four minute car ride and a ten minute boat ride to the Miami Beach
Marina. This is inactive Marina which the City of Miami has leased to Fast Track
to stage the boats for the regatta. Fast Track will have complete control over
the site. This facility is ideal due to its close proximity to Miami Beach.
In arranging the site for SORC, Fast Track Yacht Management will incur slightly
higher costs for the more convenient staging area with much fewer boats. The
fewer boats has resulted in a fee of $650/boat. This fee covers all dry storage
for the boat and/or trailer from February 28 to March 13, mast in & out,
and boat launched & hauled. As always Fast Track has attempted to minimize
all yard costs, however these costs ultimately need to be passed through for
each event.
Following the SORC, Fast Track has also arranged storage in the Savannah GA
area for all boats that need storage before returning north. Please make a reservation
on site with the Fast Track Office.
Reservations and deposits for the yard are strongly recommended because space
is limited. Directions, hours of operations, and applications can be found on
our web page at <http://www.fasttrackusa.com/>www.fasttrackusa.com or
by calling (401) 845-0871. Date: Wed, 27 Feb 2002 09:47:54 -0800

There is still time to get our printouts or digital (PC) current-prediction program for the SORC (see attached file of predictions based on data earlier in the year). The actual currents are derived from analysis of satellite data immediately prior to the race. Set up now and get the final files by email the day before the first race. To make the deadline, you will need to order now and get payment on the way (if you already have a tactics or display program, you will need just the files at $125). Questions? Contact me ASAP. Just for the Class's information, this question is answered on the SORC
website: under Event Info - Regatta Schedule. An announcement on the website
for these 11 competitors may be necessary. Thanks.
